Firm Profile
ROBERT EDWARDS
Robert Edwards started this law firm fresh out of law school in 1978. The firm has always had a law office in Anoka, Minnesota. In 2001, after becoming licensed to practice law in Arizona, Mr. Edwards opened a second legal office with the Wilcox & Wilcox Law Firm of Phoenix.
The firm was founded, and continues to operate, with the guiding principle of client service. Virtually all phone calls and e-mails are responded to within 24 hours. Clients are encouraged to ask questions at any stage of the case. That is what we are here for, and we do not mind answering any legal questions, even the ones that the clients think are "stupid." There are no stupid questions when it comes to personal injury claims and trials!
Mr. Edwards is thought of so highly by his peers (fellow trial lawyers) that he is called upon to lecture at trial lawyer seminars on a regular basis. Here is a partial list of the seminars that Mr. Edwards has spoken at in the last few years:
- Speaker, Motions Seminar, Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, November, 2004. Topic: Limited Medical Authorizations.
- Speaker, Dealing with Farmers Insurance Company and Other Difficult Carriers, Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, February, 2004. Topic: Limited Medical Authorizations.

Remember, other trial lawyers are paying their own money to hear what Mr. Edwards has to say. You can get this same advice, for free, with just a phone call.
Distinctions
- AV Rating (Preeminent) by Martindale-Hubbell
- "Who’s Who In American Law," 1989-Present.
Publications
- Edwards and Karon; "ATV Litigation" Minnesota Trial Lawyers Magazine, Fall 1989.
- Edwards and Hicken; "Tort Actions Arising Out of Marriage" Minnesota Trial Lawyers Magazine, Spring 2000.
Experience
Experience does matter. Mr. Edwards has 25 years of experience in the area of personal injury law, including automobile accidents, hit and run cases, motorcycle cases, semi-truck collisions, construction site injuries, dangerous and defective products, dog bite cases, and wrongful death cases, to name a few. Almost every attorney charges the same contingency fee (33.3%) for the work that they do in personal injury litigation. Why hire a rookie when you can hire a veteran for the same price?
Mr. Edwards is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. This is a very difficult certification to get, and presently less than 4,000 attorneys in the United States have this certification. This certification is like the difference between someone who is a bookkeeper as opposed to a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). There are other certifications, given out by state bar associations, which generally are much easier to get then the National Board of Trial Advocacy certification. Not all certificates are the same!
Martindale Hubbell, the oldest and most prestigious lawyer rating service in the United States, gave Mr. Edwards its highest possible rating (AV) or, preeminent. There is no other higher rating available.
